Principal's Message
Welcome to the San Jacinto Valley Academy Educational Team!
Our goal is for all students to continuously increase their learning!
You are an important part of our great SJVA “team” of teachers, support staff, parents, community, volunteers, PTO, SJVA Board and administration. Our direction is to strengthen our “roots” and "grow". Established since 1997 and fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Our “roots” are going deeper into the community with our continuing partnerships with Mt. San Jacinto Community College, Valley WideGrandfathers for Golf, and CIF for even more SJVA sport teams. Our Athletic Director and coaches are ready to lead our teams to victory.
Our “growth” is seen through our increasing academic achievement, raising standards for students’ learning and teachers’ teaching, adding more to student services and having additional facilities, including a new High School and Middle School campuses with two additional gyms with fully equipped CIF Volleyball and Basketball courts.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Year Programme (PYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) are geared to provide our Elementary School Children and our High School Juniors and Seniors with preparation and academic readiness for colleges/universities. Current 12th grade students and cohort of 11th grade students are participating in the IB curriculum. We are continually upgrading our technology to better serve students and teachers.
We are proud of the fact that SJVA is an “inquiry” school. We use “inquiry” approaches, which align with the Common Core State Standards and International Mindedness approach to motivate and actively involve students in their learning. They will be encouraged and helped to inquire about things that are meaningful to them and to other members of their community of inquirers with the understanding that two people with different opinions can still be right.
